Annual review 2020: inPuncto looks back on an extraordinary year
“There are mountains that you have to cross, otherwise the path won’t go any further.” (Ludwig Thoma)
Shaped by the COVID-19, our daily life in private and office have been upended. We had to face new challenges. We managed to overcome them nevertheless in a very short time – our team was welded closer together. We look back on the extraordinary 2020 and remember the successes achieved.
SAP add-ons updates:
The further development of our SAP add-ons and the constant optimization according to customer needs is of high importance to us and we have worked on it consistently throughout the year. Our inbound mail processing server biz²ScanServer for SAP (V2.6.74), for example, has received an important update. On the one hand it concerns the introduction of the biz²ScanServer-Scheduling (task planning), which leads to highest stability, fairness, better performance and optimal utilization of the logical processors (CPUs). The administrative biz²ScanServer client interface on the other hand has also been significantly expanded and improved.
In addition, the collaboration with our partner Zalaris Germany has resulted in an innovative and powerful cloud model. The Zalaris Business Cloud powered by inPuncto is currently expanding the previous inPuncto server product portfolio with standardized services relating to the topic of audit-proof storage of data and documents in the SAP environment.
Free webinars: Informative and individual web seminars on all aspects of SAP
We have prepared numerous free live webinars for you to get to know our software and have updated the current webinar program with the latest digitization topics in the field of document management. We focus on topics such as e-invoicing, cloud solutions for SAP and e-files powered by inPuncto.
inPuncto customers & partners
We have again successfully completed numerous projects this year. Some examples:
A solution for the workflow automation of incoming invoices for a German charity organization is particularly noteworthy. The customer is very satisfied with the inPuncto solution – with the cooperation of the teams, the timing and the content-related challenges – in a nutshell: inPuncto took into account and met all of his requirements, which saves the customer a lot of time and money when processing invoices.
Another project – automatically recording and assigning delivery notes – we implemented at record speed. Our lean solutions for archiving delivery notes directly at goods receipt were implemented in the existing SAP system. Thanks to our solution, the customer can now not only scan and process delivery notes more easily, but also faster and more efficiently.
The implementation partnership between us and our partner EPO Consulting, who offers innovative and powerful software solutions in the areas of SAP interfaces, SAP mobility and additional solutions, has developed into a joint overall solution for e-billing projects in SAP. It contains an implementation package that includes the generation of different electronic invoice output formats, invoice dispatch and invoice processing.
The year 2020 brought significant changes in Swiss payments: As of June 30, QR codes invoices were introduced into the payment system and thus the payment slips (ISR procedure) were replaced. Together with our Swiss partner Avectris AG, we offer a total solution that enables convenient and seamless processing of all types of QR bills. Incoming QR bills are read out with the help of the “QR Swiss module” of the inPuncto incoming mail processing server biz²ScanServer. There the payment information is prepared and automatically sent to SAP for further processing.
Social commitment at tradition-ES
inPuncto attaches great importance to being actively involved in social projects. The donation instead of a gift campaign is a long-standing tradition at inPuncto during the Christmas season, with support for a good cause being given to non-profit or charitable institutions every year. This year inPuncto donated to the organizations such as Seeotretter, Kobra, Volker Rosin Foundation, DRK local association Baltmannsweiler, Reitverein Bruchhausen, who continued to support those in need even in the difficult times of the corona pandemic.
In addition, our CEO Dr. Frank Marcial is a member of a non-profit organization tradition-ES, which volunteers for elderly people in Esslingen. This year the entrepreneur network tradition-ES has set itself the task of thanking the nursing staff at the Esslingen seniors’ homes. Face protection visors and 500 bottles of the delicious Kessler sparkling wine were given away.
We wish you all a good start into the new year and, above all, good health!
